Good & quick lunch spot but that's about it. Nothing to call home about. Owners are really nice. Don't sleep on the lasagna or the bread.

Yummy, quick, comforting on a cold day, you can order from a worker or on their kiosk, you can see your pastas being made & even there's a glass room where you can see them batching orders, sauce etc. Cool aspect of the restaurants ambiance!

I recently moved back to Philly from DC. Being half Italian, but also being recently disabled, I was craving authentic Italian food. Uber Eats recommended DaMo Pasta Lab. Here's my takes: I ordered the Focaccia Bianca, which was quite lovely, and a generous portion for the price. I also ordered the meatballs, listed as the "daily special" for the day. Also, quite good -the meatballs were moist and tender. 2 were burnt, but maybe some people like them that way? Ordered the Cacio e Pepe, and was very disappointed. Although the pasta was perfectly cooked, it was "Cacio Alfredo." Wah. Shame on me. Finished off with the Torta Susanna, which is a ricotta cake topped with a thick chocolate topping. Also very good, but too much chocolate for my taste (unnecessary, and I'm a chocoholic). I plan on making variations on this as my own. I'll give it another shot, but so disappointed with the Cacio e Pepe.

Wanted to try something new while I was in Philly for work and Italian hit my palate. I ordered on line the homemade fresh pasta and sausage. It did not disappoint. Side of Focaccia was a great addition.

I wanted to get something that wasn't too heavy and I ended up ordering the regular size pasta dish. It was great and the pasta was Al dente. Solid service and host was kind. I would go here again and try their desserts.

My only experience with DaMo has been takeout and I was pretty impressed. A friend was in town for the Bad Bunny concert, so we needed something hearty to sustain us through an evening of dancing and singing. Naturally, pasta felt like the answer. We didn't have time to go sit down somewhere, so I took to my food delivery apps and remembered hearing such great things about DaMo, we went for it. I ordered the focaccia, a house salad, and their bolognese. I've been on a bolognese kick lately and this one was DELICIOUS. The salad was pretty bland, just arugula and a lemon flavored dressing. The focaccia was incredible. I was most impressed with how hot the meal was upon delivery. It also held up really well. Italian take out can be really hit or miss, but this one was a huge hit.

This is their second location in Philadelpha. I usually go to the one at 11 and Chestnut. Danilo and Monica, who are the owners, were there when I came to visit on their soft opening weekend. They were super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very cozy, homey, and relaxing with cushioned chairs and greenery decorations. I recommend the homemade tiramisu by Monica. Definitely a good addition to Rittenhouse Square eatery scene

Ambiance: (5/5) Great seating and it is very clean with a simple aesthetic. Price: (4/5) Price is reasonable but the regular portion size is a bit small. Food: (4/5) The pasta is made fresh (you can see their machines through a window). The pasta was cooked perfectly. My food was a bit salty, but still pretty good. I was going for a cheesey dish and that's what I got. Service: (5/5) Food comes out quick and the staff is really nice.

So I have a story about this one. We were in Philly and decided to stop by. Other reviewers indicated that this place does not have AC. When I tell you this place was hot, I don't mean slightly warm, I'm talking it was as hot as Texas in the middle of July. All the tables were full and it was so unbearably hot that we couldn't stay. (I LOVE heat, thrive in Florida regardless of month, but this place was too much.) We decided to stop by the next day when the temperature was 30 degrees cooler. Glad we waited. The place was empty and although it was still hot inside, it was not as unbearable. This place would have received 5 stars from me, but the heat issue was a factor. I ordered the cacio e Pepe. IT WAS DELICIOUS. Would love to stop by again, but not in the summer. I bet this place is perfect in the winter when it's freezing.
